A pleasure to meet you!

I'm Mikee Nguyen, an aspiring programmer and scientist at 25 years old.

Some of my hobbies include snowboarding, reading, video games, acting, and short-film production.

I graduated from UCSD with a B.S. in General Biology and a minor in business. I've worked for various research and biotech organizations including Salk Institute, SG Biofuels, Center for Aquatic Technologies, and BTS Research.

Home for me is Folsom, situated in Sacramento, California (go Kings!). The picture you keep seeing of me with a parachute on was taken at Lodi's skydiving center. I graduated from Oak Ridge High School, located in the neighboring town of El Dorado Hills, in 2008. I transferred to UCSD from Folsom Lake College in 2010.

My time at UCSD was well-spent; I served as Co-president for the Biological Sciences Student Association (BSSA), as well as President for Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity. I was also a transfer orientation leader (Eleanor Roosevelt College) and a teacher aide for both lower and upper div evolutionary biology.

I am currently employed as a software engineer intern for TargetSolutions, a San Diego-based e-learning company that provides training and management resources for fire departments, police departments, EMS professionals, security firms, educational staff, and other similar fields in which safety and service to the public are top priority!

San Diego is my new home, where I enjoy the occasional run by the beach and plenty of good beer.
